In August 2017 the family, and Duffus House, entered a new phase in its history as our lease to Gordonstoun finished. The school’s decision not to renew its lease of Duffus House was the catalyst for us to relocate from East Lothian.
In 2013 we made the move up to Moray to take on the challenge of redeveloping Duffus House, whilst also taking on the management of the Estate as a whole.
We are passionate about our food and drink (in fact we met whilst both on Majestic Wine’s graduate training scheme) and we truly appreciate superb hospitality and customer service. We want to bring Duffus House to life again by inviting you in to share our historic family home with us. Think cool Sunday vibes and long leisurely brunches.
Visualise the comfortable, relaxed interior of a sympathetically reimagined Scottish country home. Experience relaxed walks through the woodland, whilst catching glimpses of the wildlife we’re so lucky to have surrounding us here at Duffus. As you enter through the lodge gates, imagine everyday burdens melt away as you become immersed in the beautiful surroundings.
We envisage Duffus House being filled with life and laughter again. Whether you’re staying in one of our gorgeous apartments or B&B suites, eating in our wonderful seasonal café, browsing for that perfect gift or simply exploring the peaceful Estate grounds.
We are in the midst of a long, hard journey but we know we have the energy to keep pushing our vision through to reality. Alongside our existing unique rural holiday accommodation, Duffus House will once again be the beating heart, the hub, of Duffus Estate – a home reinvented for the 21 st century.
