Kirktoun is a delightful cottage with open country views and within walking distance of Duffus, making it a great choice for couples or for families. Duffus has a shop and play park.

Kirktoun is a surprisingly spacious cottage. The bright sitting room has a lovely restored open fire (with complementary logs from the Estate), perfect for cosy evenings in. It has a large window with garden views.

There is a separate dining room – ideal for long, leisurely dinners with friends or family. The well appointed bathroom is downstairs. The two cosy bedrooms (1 x double and 1 x twin) can be found upstairs. Kirktoun has a good sized, private garden; part of which is enclosed – useful for containing children or the dog!

You might be lucky enough to spot some of our resident red squirrels which live in the woods behind. The patio area is great for summer BBQs or sipping wine whilst watching the sun set on those long, light summer evenings we are blessed to get up here in Moray. There is also a fire bowl for our guests to use to keep them warm whilst perhaps watching the stars or having a wee nightcap.

Duffus Estate has a network of paths, many of which can be accessed directly from the gate at the bottom of Kirktoun’s garden.

One of the best places we have ever stayed.

High quality throughout :- Fluffy towels, cosy bedding, sharp kitchen knives, fully equipped with everything you need for an enjoyable and relaxing break. Warm and cosy home, log fire with logs provided from the estate.

A welcome basket containing home made products – which were so tasty and thoughtful. A welcome basket for our wee four legged pal too! T

he estate was a delight to wander around and we enjoyed the ‘mostly’ peaceful surroundings. The occasional fighter jet training laps were an experience.

A sun soaked terrace at the front where we enjoyed a glass of something cold and refreshing after a day out. The garden space was excellent. Safely fenced for our wee dog who happily wandered around – and we could relax.

I could go on. But suffice to say – an excellent, welcoming, carefully thought out holiday home. I would highly recommend Kirktoun Cottage for anyone wanting a little touch of luxury and care for your next break away.

A Perfect Location

A perfect location for me as I have family in Duffus. A charming cottage with a peaceful garden ( adjacent to the old Kirk). Extremely comfortable bed. Everything was as I hoped and the welcome supplies were very much appreciated. I loved it. Thank you Caroline.

A Lovely Holiday

Wonderfully warm and cosy stay, it has everything you could possibly need for a lovely holiday. It sadly rained all week and we were so appreciative of the constant heating, hot water and the wonderful welcome pack that Caroline kindly provided for us and the dog. A wonderful stay in this comfortable and spacious cottage. We quickly felt very at home, a lovely welcome basket for us and the dogs! The garden is an amazing space and our 2 dogs loved it, great walks straight from the garden gate.
