Duffus Estate Camping
Now taking bookings from May 2026 – Duffus Estate Camping is our latest venture. There are opportunities to camp with your tent within the Walled Garden. A beautiful, sheltered area enclosed on all sides. Two of the walls still have old fruit trees which provide an annual bounty of apples, plums, cherries and pears throughout the season.
This is a slow camping area, with no electric hook ups. Pitches are all level and are 9x5m with one tent per pitch. Water is available.
Prefer a different option? Why not bring your tourer along and park up on one of the 20 pitches in the Big Field. These pitches have spectacular southly views across the Estate. All the touring pitches have water and electric. The electric is charged separately to your pitch fee. All pitches are a generous 8x8m.
Use our custom built wash block and toilets, charge your car or take a gentle walk around Duffus Estate. Our path network will take you all the way to the iconic Duffus Castle. Once there you can treat yourself to a coffee and fancy piece at Kula Coffee Hut.
With access to the best Moray can offer. From stand-up paddleboarding, to wild swimming, cycling or long distance running, all within our lush landscape. There is also gorge walking with Outfit Moray or some of the best walking routes along the Moray Way. You can do it all from Duffus Estate Camping.
With our focus on sustainability and Green Tourism we have added bat boxes across our campsite and have a bat monitor available to borrow, allowing you to identify which bats are in your vicinity. You are also invited to use our grass tennis court, bring your own rackets or get in touch to borrow some to play.

Duffus House was built in the late 1600’s and was home to the Dunbar’s of Northfield for over 250 years. Ed’s grandfather resided here until 1935 and his late father recalls spending summer holidays here.
The house was subsequently let to Gordonstoun school and used as a boarding house until 2017. It is understood that Prince Philip attended the school during the early days of its founding and then latterly HRH Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh, boarded there during his time at the School.
Since 2017, we have been exploring future uses for the house. Earthtime for All, a children’s outdoor nursery utilises the Estate grounds and part of the building as office space. The campsite reception is located in the main entrance hall.
