Tennis Courts Back in Action

Spring 2020 and we’re both still busy working away and attempting homeschooling. However, we have found time to complete jobs that we’ve been meaning to do for years! One of these was to get the grass tennis court at Duffus House in action again.

Grass tennis courts on Duffus Estate

Spring 2020 and we’re both still busy working away and attempting homeschooling. However, we have found time to complete jobs that we’ve been meaning to do for years! One of these was to get the grass tennis court at Duffus House in action again. Duffus House has two walled gardens – one that was productive & one decorative. At some point this garden was grassed over & during the decades that Gordonstoun School leased the house it was used as a tennis court.

We bought a new net, posts, line marking equipment years ago & they’ve been sat in the garage until now! Ed’s been diligently cutting the grass for the past few weeks & then spent a satisfying afternoon yesterday measuring & marking up the court. Once we’re able to open up again, our guests will be very welcome to borrow rackets & have a go too. Just need some strawberries & Pimms & you’ll be all set.
