Meet the Team – Annie
Annie

Our team at Duffus is tight-knit

Like everything we do at the Estate, we put our heart and soul into our team and want them to feel part of the Duffus Estate family. We sent our team a few questions to share with you. Read on to meet Annie, who has been with us since 2025.

Give us an insight into your daily routine at Duffus Estate

I started working for Duffus Estate in July this year. Mainly to help Caroline out with the Holiday Let side of the business. Each day, I begin by processing new bookings for the holiday lets on Duffus Estate. Ensuring all reservation details are recorded and confirmed. I monitor incoming payment receipts; also I ensure that guests have received all their arrival information in advance, helping them feel prepared and welcomed. I also respond to any customer reviews – we always welcome feedback here at Duffus Estate, and any general enquiries. We like to provide as much information as possible to help the guests look forward to their stay with us.

Tell us a little about yourself…

Originally from Northumberland, I’ve moved around a little – living in the South of England for 23 years, my family and I made the move to Moray, Scotland in 2021. We’ve not looked back and love every second of the beautiful Moray coast.

I love the outdoors – running, cycling, walking and we are spoiled for choice for scenic places to visit here in Moray. I’m also a keen snowboarder, and we have some small, but fantastic ski areas only an hours drive away. What’s not to love!

I’m an avid lover of wildlife and fly the flag particularly for bee conservation. Previously I was fortunate enough to be part of the company bee-keeping team, which was fascinating. Such a treat to watch and learn about. I also love how diverse the birds are in our garden. We currently have 2 very well-fed Greater Spotted Woodpeckers, who seem to have claimed our bird feeder as their own!

What do you enjoy about working in the team at Duffus Estate?

First of all I’ve been made to feel very welcome by the team. I love that the mutual consensus is not one of complacency, but what can we do to improve and give our guests the best experience for their stay at Duffus Estate. The estate itself is a haven of peace and calm, and I enjoy wildlife spotting. Most days are great days, but it will always be improved by spotting a Red Squirrel!
